(Archive) Battle over Coruscant Shipset Update v1.3

Image
Darksaber has made an update to the BoC Shipset installer, including a 'mod check'. This script, when running the installer will check if there are any mods already installed like Darksaber's Ultimate Craft Pack (DSUCP) or the Crusade3 mod.  While this is already in the FAQ, recent events suggest that I point it out again: The BoC Shipset has to be installed on a clean install of X-Wing Alliance. It IS NOT designed or intended to run parallelly with mods like the DSUCP or Crusade3. [Me from the Future]: That last bit was a dumb decision back then! Who knew the DSUCP and XWAUCP would become the meta for modern XWA? One more reason to update the bloody thing!

(Archive) Predator-class Star Destroyer

And here goes another. Another model based on an ANCIENT comic drawing I made sometime last century. The Predator was the ESS' first line-produced star destroyer to create the backbone of royal fleet. With a length of over two kilometers the Predator clearly surpasses its imperial cousin, the Imperator I and II-class in both size and sheer power.

Finally here it is, the updated version of the BoC Shipset. So, what's new? Well, it now 'officilly' features the Valiant. Next I made quite a lot of fixes to the mission, ship stats and sound lists. Also, Darksaber has made some tweaks to the installer which now also features a nice launcher that works well with localized versions of XWA. A must-have for every fan of this epic battle. New features: Included the Valliant-Class Cruiser  Added some more radio messages Fixes: Fixed some of the ship statistics that were incorrect in the previous versions Fixed an issue in the sound list that would cause some of the sounds not being played Fixed a mission bug that would cause Obi-Wan to land too early Some other minor updates to the mission Fixed the uninstall executable that was corrupted in v1.0 Fixed the installer to add a desktop and quicklaunch icon Fixed the launcher to work properly with international versions of XWA Valiant-Cruiser Update v1.1 Next, along with this updat...

(Archive) BRX-700 Barracuda Update v2.1

Image
Finally I got around to do that one, too! Since earlier this year I had updated the Black Scorpion adding a pilot mesh, I allways wanted to do the same with the Barracuda. Finally I've taken some minutes and updated the exterior, placing Vince Trageton in the pilot's seat. [Me from the Future]: Where's that News post about the major BRX-Series update? Ah nevermind, I'm remaking the whole series anyway!

(Archive) XWA Community Flash

Been quiet around this site lately, but that's not to worry. The reason is I'm in the process of drastically revamping the Blue Phantom Project site in style, layout and structure, which takes some time. For now have a look at the latest addition to my WIP section, the Predator-Class Star Destroyer! Meanwhile, the XWA Community lives on and supplies us with lots of new goodies again and again. So where to start.... Updated Assault Shuttle While working on his awesome Skipray Blastboat, Marco Antonio Malheiros has taken some time and revised parts of his XWAU Assault Shuttle, modifying the hull so the wings would appear flippable like those of the Lambda-class shuttle. Very well done upgrade I must say. You can get it over at Darksaber's site! New OPT releases on MTD Industries With the 30th anniversary of Star Wars, DTM has released a brilliant translation of the R-22 Spearhead, based on an old A-Wing Concept art by Ralph McQuarrie. Also, you can now download the Acclamator...

(Archive) Valiant-class Republic Cruiser

Image
Happy Easter everyone! And here goes another! Originally designed by Kyle_K_ski. Bridging the design gap between the Acclamator and the Venator, the massive Valiant translates its focus from a mere troop ship or carrier to the actual role of an offensive combat vessel Slightly larger than the Venator its firepower clearly excedes that of the Attack Cruiser. IMPORTANT: Hotfix for Battle over Coruscant Shipset! There is an issue with the current version of the Battle over Coruscant , which when uninstalling will delete some folders from the start menu, not only the one of the shipset. All who have installed the shipset so far, should download Bugfix before uninstalling the patch. The zipfile includes the fixed Uninstall to replace the old one. Meanwhile, a new version of the patch is in the works that will have the fix included as well as ... nah, I won't tell :D

(Archive) Episode III: Battle Over Coruscant Shipset!

It is done! The Battle over Coruscant Shipsetis now available! Almost two years of development, stagnation, testing and what not... Finally here it is! The ROTS Shipset: Battle over Coruscant is finally available for download. One of the most dramatic battles in Star Wars history is now yours to live through again. Fly your Actis Interceptor through a complete mayhem and try to rescue the Chancellor! Big Kudos to Darksaber who made the awesome looking new installer, which you can download by clicking the pic above. Also included in this shipset, is the brand-new Carrack Cruiser by General Ramos, (OPTed by DTM, Berruga and Darksaber). [Me from the Future]: Good one, kid! Could do with an update tho. Way more potential nowadays!

(Archive) Happy New Year & New Release!

Image
Another year gone, VXHQ goes into the 4th round and still kicking. So I wish all you folks a HAPPY NEW YEAR! May your dreams and plans become reality And, like I promised, here's my New Year's present: The Diamond-class Space Station!   The Diamond Station is now available for download. Only few other models have undergone such radical changes in their design phase as this one - the very first version looked pretty similar to a Death Star.... Diamond Stations were built as massive defense stations in orbit over planet Bricera during the Family war between the Vaylon and Khisar Clan. With a diameter of almost 10 km this powerful battle station can stand well against a whole enemy fleet, while its barely countable laser turrets make it more than a match for any attacker. [Me from the Future]: 4 years ... gee that's a long way back! So young and naive were we!
